Breathe and remember who you are
Breathe, surrender to who you are
Breathe through the center of who you are
Breathe, surrender

Breathe, breathe, breathe into the fire
Breathe, breathe, breathe into the fire
Breathe, breathe, breathe into the fire

Breathe Into the Fire (cont'd)

Using a deep connected breath for approximately one hour, the Rebirthing process opens the body's energy channels and accelerates the flow of creativity and intuition. Our sessions were always done with a partner and led by expert facilitators. Afterward, feeling totally euphoric, we were pampered with snugly blankets, herbal tea and nutritious treats.

On one of these debriefing times, I felt as if I were glued to the chair while words to a song downloaded into my awareness. I was compelled to sing them to the group since we all had shared the breathing experience. My first thought was, “I don't write songs like that!” Two weeks later, I was asked to join a Women in Leadership Retreat in Victoria, BC, hosted by Rhonda Johnson. All airline flights were booked and so I took the slow 20-hour bus trip to the coast. The remaining lyrics for “Breathe Into the Fire” were given to me and I wrote them down on post notes.

I finally arrived at the workshop as Rhonda was leading a woman through an emotional process. Rhonda looked at me and said, “Judy, I feel that you have a song to sing for her right now."  And so, with post notes in hand, I sang and improvised “Breathe Into the Fire”. This piece is all about 'surrender' which means that when I sing Breathe, I am asked to open, trust and let go.

With love,

Breathe into the knowingness within you
Breathe, surrender, give up the fight
Breathe and feel the love that’s always in you
And breathe, ‘till you become the Light
