It didn't take long before we named him Sam and invited him inside. The first day in the house, he slept for 14 hours on a mohair blanket which eventually became his! It didn't bother Sam at all that he was being adopted into a musical family where I would be singing at all hours of the day and night.​

When inspiration calls, I write lyrics and melodies with universal messages to help people listen to the call of their hearts. The songs are written in many different styles, depending on the mood and energy that needs to be conveyed. There is no set place for song writing. Phrases can ‘pop in’ to my consciousness anytime, anywhere, whether I am driving, walking, cleaning, playing the piano, laughing, crying, performing, listening to a speaker or preparing meals.

I cannot say that Sam inspired Let Your Heart Sing, but he was part of the experience as I whirled him around the room. He gave me constant reminders to be present in each moment. The song came flowing through my voice as if it were already written. Best of all,

Sam seemed to be enjoying the whole event. He

gave his approval by putting his little face up to

mine and kissing me on the nose. That dear little

soul was with us for 18 years.​
